Gundam is definitely over-represented in terms of new model kit releases with modern, user-friendly engineering (better proportions, snap-fit assembly, proper colors, etc.) I believe I posted about this before when someone asked, but there are tons of sci-fi/mecha/fantasy kits from both Bandai and other manufacturers that aren't Gunpla-related.
